On Saturday, Dave and I packed up a picnic lunch and headed for Lake Natoma in Folsom with Abby. One of the things I love about this area is that there are tons of lakes, rivers, and parks within driving if not walking distance. We had a great time eating our sandwiches and taking a short hike on the American River Parkway. We had a great time, and neither of us even got upset when I forgot to bring our lunch and we had to drive 20 minutes each way to go home to get it. In fact, Abby got a fantastic nap during the trip home so she was in a great mood when the picnic finally commenced.

Isn't the lake pretty? It was so nice because the day was warm and gorgeous, but because it's only April there were no crowds. Perfect!!!
